The baba (grandma) isn’t rocking a baby in the cradle… it’s a kulich, a special cake/bread baked for Easter all over Eastern Europe/Russia. Kukichi are notoriously fiddly… often, people will put them on a pillow to cool, and gently move it from side to side so as to allow it to cool evenly and not “fall”. That’s why we only bake it once a year…
