I think the way that Marina Karella was treated by European “royals” is nothing short of scandalous. They’ve set up rules that guarantee a repetition of the genetic disasters that led to Carlos II and the sons of Alfonso XIII in Spain and to the Tsarevich Aleksei Nikolaevich in Russia. I’m on the side of the “royals” who bucked this lunacy, both in the present, and in the past. Mark me down as an incurable romantic, but Grand Prince Mikhail Aleksandrovich and Grand Duke Franz Ferdinand did the right thing… “morganatic marriage“, indeed… they did the right thing… may history judge them kindly.
